The Venice Film Festival kicked off on Wednesday with George Clooney's self-directed political drama The Ides of March opening the competition, and since then many of Hollywood's hottest stars have also premiered upcoming projects in front of Italian audiences. Madonna debuted her historical piece W.E. while Kate Winslet and her Carnage costars discussed working on Roman Polanski's big-screen adaption of the famous play.
