Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore have seemed like one of Hollywood's happiest couples since they got together in 2003. But is there trouble in paradise? One year after rumors of an affair rocked the Moore-Kutcher marriage, the couple is suddenly acting -- well, less like a couple.
For example, Moore, 48, and Kutcher, 33, celebrated their sixth anniversary last weekend -- on opposite sides of the country. People reports that Kutcher was hitting the clubs in San Diego with former That '70s Show costar Danny Masterson, while Moore attended a film premiere in New York City. People also points out that neither of them mentioned the anniversary on Twitter.
In fact, both of their Twitter accounts have been suspiciously lacking in the PDA that used to make us all so jealous and/or uncomfortable. Instead, there have been cryptic tweets, like this one from Moore the night before their anniversary: "When we are offended at any man's fault, turn to yourself & study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger."
It's a quote from the Greek philosopher Epictetus. Was Demi trying to send a message?
Other publications claim that Kutcher has been cheating on Moore, and that's the reason the marriage is on the rocks. TheDirty.com has a report from a woman named Sarah Leal, who says she slept with Kutcher at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego last Saturday. (Kutcher allegedly told Leal that he and Moore were separated.) The circumstances and details are similar to his alleged fling with 21-year-old Brittney Jones, as reported in Star last September.
But this time around, there have been no Twitter denials, no cutesy photos posted online, and no reconciliatory trip to Israel from the Kutcher-Moore camp. Could it be that everyone's favorite May-December couple has really called it quits?
