Sebastian Bach's Home Destroyed by Hurricane Irene

Sebastian Bach's Home Destroyed by Hurricane Irene

Rocker Sebastian Bach is publicly grieving the loss of his New Jersey home due to flooding and damage caused by Hurricane Irene. The former Skid Row frontman Twittered, "I am numb, in shock, & devastated to report that my home of 21 years, my house featured on MTV Cribs, has been destroyed, condemned, & deemed uninhabitable due to the extreme flooding courtesy of Hurricane Irene"

Bach, 43, was on the road in Colorado performing with fellow hard-rockers Twisted Sister, Godsmack, and Fuel when Hurricane Irene swept across the East Coast. When Bach returned home on Sunday to Red Bank, N.J., he discovered a bridge adjacent to his property had broken and slammed into his home, "knocking the house off of its foundation" and completely flooding the basement and first level.

In an emotional post to fans on his Facebook page, Bach explains that he lost valuable KISS memorabilia and one-of-a-kind Skid Row master tapes, videos, concerts, press clippings, and artwork that he can never replace. His New Jersey mansion, where he raised three children with his ex-wife, also housed his entire vinyl collection, including LPs that belong to his late father, the Canadian artist David Bierk.

"I will always love New Jersey but now there is literally nothing left for me here except memories of a past life," he wrote of his hometown of 20-plus years. He announced that he is relocating to Los Angeles: "Hello, New Life. Here I Am. It's time for a new start. Like I have a choice."
